“Christmas is not just a season; it’s a time when community shines brightest, bringing people together in the warmth of love and joy.”
Hyderabad, December 8th, 2024: The Kanara Catholic Welfare Association (KCWA) hosted its highly anticipated “Jingle N Mingle 2024” event, a vibrant celebration that truly embodied the spirit of Christmas and brought the community together in a heartwarming display of unity and joy.

Despite the chilly winter weather, the atmosphere was warm and inviting as families gathered to celebrate the festive season. The day began with a cherished tradition – the Christmas tree decoration. Led by the Cultural Committee, Dr. Lovita Pereira and Anna Una Crasta, each family contributed a unique ornament to adorn the tree, symbolizing the collective spirit and shared joy of the community.

Capt. Ashley Coelho’s heartfelt prayer set a reverent tone for the day’s festivities, invoking a sense of gratitude and togetherness. The program then unfolded with a series of engaging activities that fostered camaraderie and laughter among the attendees.

A melodious duet by Rohit Coelho and Anjana Minj filled the air with Christmas cheer, while Richard Mendonce and Rachitha Dsouza hosted an entertaining Christmas quiz that tested the participants’ knowledge of holiday traditions. The laughter continued with interactive games like “Christmas Elves Help Santa Claus” and “Musical Arms,” keeping everyone engaged and amused.

Adding to the excitement, the Executive Committee surprised the attendees with an impromptu performance, showcasing their hidden talents and bringing an unexpected spark to the celebrations. The children’s dance performance was a true highlight, with their infectious energy and enthusiasm spreading joy among young and old alike.

And of course, no Christmas celebration would be complete without the arrival of Santa Claus himself! His grand entrance brought smiles and cheers from the children, creating a magical moment that captured the essence of the season.

The spirit of Christmas filled the air as the carolers, led by Stany Mendonca and young Rikardo Fernandez, raised their voices in harmony, inviting everyone to join in the festive singing. The beautiful melodies resonated through the venue, creating a sense of unity and shared celebration.
After indulging in a sumptuous festive lunch, the merriment continued with a lively game of Tambola, where participants eagerly awaited their lucky numbers. The open mic session provided a platform for individuals to showcase their talents, with impromptu performances adding to the vibrant atmosphere. The energetic Baila dance got everyone on their feet, transforming the venue into a lively dance floor.

The winners of the various games and activities were awarded prizes, but the true reward was the shared memories and joyful experiences created throughout the day. As the event drew to a close, a surprise impromptu karaoke session featuring guest Sharath and committee member Richard Mendonce added a final touch of spontaneity and entertainment.

“Christmas is a time to cherish moments of joy and unity,” remarked one of the organizers. “It reminds us that we are stronger, happier, and brighter together as a community.” The first-ever Jingle N Mingle event truly embodied this sentiment, leaving every heart overflowing with gratitude and festive cheer. It was a resounding success that strengthened the bonds within the community and created lasting memories for all who attended.
